Inside the world
Build a world with consequences.
Scorched explores persistent faction play: players defend a place, maintain it, and decide when to risk an attack. Fortifications, guard placement, upkeep, and raid chests turn those decisions into connected game systems.
The work sits inside Minecraft through custom server plugins and carefully coordinated integrations.

Persistence is part of the game design.
A defense should remain coherent after a restart. A final breach should resolve its reward once. A chest should only open through the intended path. Those details connect engineering reliability to the player’s experience.
Crash-survival, guard creation, controlled decay, and raid-chest access became concrete checks of the rules players would encounter.

Inside the world
World craft and systems craft.
Andrew’s in-game builds and lore provide the setting; the custom systems support what happens there. Architecture, story, and persistent rules meet in the same player experience.
Fortifications give a build strategic weight. Guards and upkeep connect it to ongoing decisions. Breaching and raid chests give an attack a defined path and an outcome.

Custom server and plugin work for Minecraft. Some systems were verified in staging rather than deployed publicly.
Scorched’s May 29 staging record tested whether fortification state survived a forced shutdown, whether a breach rewarded the player once, and whether raid-chest access followed its intended path. These checks concern the rules players experience. The staging checks made persistence and access rules part of the player-experience review.
