01

Inside the world

Build the feeling of flight.

Hollow Shibuya begins with movement through a city. Banking, diving, reversing direction, and reading the horizon needed to feel connected to the camera and the player’s orientation.

The work treats movement as a system to tune and test, alongside the atmosphere that makes the flight worth taking.

02

Inside the world

Give the city an arc.

The playable sequence connects a flight tutorial to enemy nests, upgrades, a dragon encounter, and a larger boss before a dawn ending. Rooftops, streets, fog, and lighting change how that route is read.

Photo mode offers another way to experience the environment: pause, frame, and look at the world built around the action.

03

Inside the world

Make the spectacle hold together.

Stable orientation, repeatable simulation, enemy behavior, and rendering budgets support the feeling of uninterrupted flight. Combat signals have to stay legible against a fast-moving city.

A complete reference playthrough connected those systems from the tutorial to the ending, giving the movement and visual work a full sequence in which to be evaluated.

From the process

Hollow Shibuya
Game development

Flight needs a stable horizon.

Hollow Shibuya’s June 11–13 development report ties the feeling of flight to orientation, camera behavior, rendering, and a repeatable gameplay route. Banking and diving needed to remain understandable through quick reversals. The same report records an arc from tutorial through bosses to a dawn ending.
